In order to avoid facing the repercussions, five friends conceal their involvement in a fatal car accident and agree to keep it a secret. A year later, they discover that someone is aware of what they did the previous summer, and the past returns to haunt them. They soon turn to two survivors of the infamous Southport massacre of 1997 for assistance after being stalked by an enigmatic murderer.
